Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 / Arrive Victoria
Your journey begins today upon your arrival in Victoria. Be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel. After you check in and relax, you will meet your fellow guests and Tour Director at a Welcome Reception later today.
Day 2 / Victoria
This morning, enjoy a short orientation tour of Victoria before visiting The Butchart Gardens. More than a hundred years old, the world-famous gardens span across 55 acres. There are a range of displays, each with its own unique character and style. Spend time wandering through the lovely Sunken Garden and relax in the beautiful settings of the Japanese Garden and the Italian Garden. Stroll past the vast collection of plants and dazzling floral displays on show. Afterwards, you may like to choose one of our Enhance Your Journey select experiences as you continue exploring Victoria.
Day 3 / Victoria, Whistler
Drive to the town of Chemainus before boarding a ferry across the Georgia Strait to Horseshoe Bay. Admire expansive views of the Coastal Mountains as you journey along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway, with a stop at Shannon Falls en route to Whistler. After arrival, enjoy an Insider Experience.
Insider Experience - Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre
Feast on a menu inspired by traditional First Nations food at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. You will also witness a cultural performance and hear stories of ancient traditions and the people of these lands.
Day 4 / Whistler
Today is yours to explore at leisure. Perhaps enjoy one of the Enhance Your Journey select experiences available to you.
Day 5 / Whistler, Sun Peaks
Depart Whistler early this morning and travel through the rugged Cariboo Chilcotin Coast, stretching from the Pacific Coast to the Cariboo Mountains. Gold was discovered in the region in the 1860s, sparking a rush that attracted prospectors from across the world. Stop in the picturesque town of Lillooet, which became ‘Mile 0’ of the original Gold Rush Trail to the Cariboo Goldfields. Continue east to Kamloops and travel along the North Thompson River and into the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. Arrive in Sun Peaks and settle in for dinner.
Day 6 / Sun Peaks, Blue River, Jasper
The day ahead promises alpine scenery and adventure in the great outdoors. Follow the famous Yellowhead Highway on your way to picturesque Jasper National Park. En route, you’ll stop in Blue River for an Insider Experience and pass the majestic Mount Robson, which is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Later, arrive in the mountain resort town of Jasper.
Insider Experience – Blue River Safari
Set off on a remarkable River Safari to stunning Grizzly Bear Valley, where you’re likely to witness active native wildlife on the riverbank. Cruise along glacier-fed rivers and lakes, and admire remarkable views of the surrounding forest and waterfalls.
Day 7 / Jasper
After breakfast today, you have the whole day to explore Jasper National Park or relax. Discover more with our Enhance Your Journey optional select experiences. This evening, enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 8 / Jasper, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise
Travel along the Icefields Parkway, considered the world’s most scenic highway, and stop at the Columbia Icefield for an exhilarating Ice Explorer ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. After, continue to Lake Louise, the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’.
Insider Experience – Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Stay at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and relax in spectacular surrounds. Set against the backdrop of towering mountain peaks and breathtaking turquoise water, the iconic hotel preserves the elegance of a bygone era. Enjoy premium amenities and delicious dining in the awe-inspiring alpine surrounds of Lake Louise.
Day 9 / Lake Louise, Banff
This morning, travel to the stunning mountain-scapes of glacier-fed Moraine Lake (season permitting) on your way to Banff. This afternoon, arrive in Banff with time to explore this charming alpine town on a sightseeing tour.
Day 10 / Banff

Day 11 / Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops
This morning, board the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer train and settle into your carriage with large panoramic windows for expansive views of the fabled Rocky Mountains. Your journey takes you through the Spiral Tunnels, a historic engineering feat which snakes its way through the region. Then continue through the impressive Kicking Horse Canyon before arriving in the city of Kamloops late in the afternoon. There is time to settle into your comfortable hotel, explore, relax and dine this evening.
Day 12 / Rocky Mountaineer, Vancouver
Re-join the Rocky Mountaineer and continue your rail adventure west towards the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, enjoy incredible front-row views of the region’s natural beauty. Take in some of its many highlights, which include Fraser Canyon, the Coast Mountains and Fraser Valley. Late this afternoon, arrive in Vancouver where you will spend the next two nights. Settle into your centrally located hotel and enjoy free time to explore. Tonight, you might like to try a local restaurant for dinner.
Day 13 / Vancouver
Today begins with an Insider Experience. Later, fall in love with Vancouver and embark on a sightseeing tour which takes you through some of the city’s most vibrant areas and best-loved attractions, such as Gastown and Granville Island. You may also like to choose one of our Enhance Your Journey experiences on offer. Tonight, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner with your fellow guests.
Insider Experience – Breakfast with the Bears
Watch for Grizzly bears and enjoy a delicious breakfast at Grouse Mountain. You will receive early access to the wilderness sanctuary, with an opportunity to see the resident bears exploring their habitat before you sit down to breakfast.
Day 14 / Depart Vancouver
After breakfast, your tour comes to an end.
