Tour Itinerary 

 

Day 1 – Beijing tour start

Welcome to Beijing, today is yours to relax and recover

 

Day 2 – Beijing City Tour

On this day you will first visit Tiananmen Square followed by the magnificent Forbidden City. And then you will visit the Temple of Heaven.

Tiananmen Square: It is the largest city square in the world and the spiritual heart of China, where the national flag is raised exactly at sunrise every day.

The Forbidden City: It is located in the center of Beijing, used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years, it is the grandest integral palace complex still remaining in China.

Temple of Heaven: It is the place which was visited yearly by the emperors who performed intricate rituals to insure a good harvest for the whole nation at ancient times

Day 3 – Beijing – Great Wall

You will visit to the magnificent Great Wall (Mutianyu section, round trip cable car included) and then visit the Sacred Road.

Great Wall(Mutianyu Section): The most famous symbol of China and one of the world's most remarkable architectural wonders, it was built over 2,000 years ago and stretching about 6,700km.

Mutianyu Cable Car (round way): Round-way cable car of Mutianyu Great Wall included. Chair-lift and Toboggan are also available. If you want to change to any of them, please inform the local guide before he or she purchases the tickets for round-trip cable car for you. Please pay the extra charge in cash to the local guide.

Sacred Road: the path lined with stone statues of animals, mystical beasts and officials who serve the emperor in his afterlife, through which the sitting emperors would go to perform memorial rituals for the ancestors once a year.

Day 4 – Beijing – Xian by High Speed Train

After breakfast, you will visit one of the famous imperial gardens-Summer Palace (including boat cruise) . And then you will be transferred to the train station for the speedy train to Xian (about 5 hours).

Upon your arrival at Xian, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Summer Palace (included boat cruise) : Located on the northwestern outskirts of the city, it was an imperial summer resort of the Qing Dynasty. With its perfect layout, magnificent buildings and enchanting landscape, it is the most splendid classical garden in China.

Note:Boat Cruise is not available from Nov. 1st to Mar.18th because of the frozen lake.

Day 5 – Xian City Tour

Today you will visit the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors and the Ancient City Walls.

Terracotta Warriors: Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. These 6,000 life-size painted terracotta warriors and horses --individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history—Emperor QinShihuang since 2,200 years ago.

The Ancient City Walls: It is the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world. It is also the thickest “wall” in the world, which you can drive golf car, take rickshaw and ride bicycle on the top.

Day 6 – Xian – Flight to Shanghai

After breakfast, you will tour the Muslim Street and the Shaanxi History Museum. After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to your next destination. Upon your arrival, our tour guide will meet you at the airport and then escort you to the hotel.

Muslim Street: It is the center of the sizable Chinese-Muslim community in Xian. You will pass through a narrow bazaar street linked with shops selling a large variety of interesting local delicacies, snacks and souvenirs. It is also packed with small restaurants serving typical Muslim food.

Shaanxi History Museum: Opened in 1991, the largest comprehensive museum in the province, the museum exhibits over 3,000 unearthed historical relics, a small fraction of their collection, most of the exhibited items are rare treasures, showing you the splendid Chinese culture. It is located in the northwest of the Xi’an Wild Goose Pagoda

Day 7 – Shanghai City Tour

After breakfast, you will visit Yu Garden, Yu Market, the Bund, the Former French Section and then enjoy a bird's eye view of the modern Shanghai from the Shanghai World Financial Center.

Yu Garden: Located in the Old Town of Shanghai and laid out in 1559 AD by a powerful Ming official, Yu Garden recreates a beautiful landscape of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees and precious flowers.

Yuyuan Market: Outside the Yu Garden, a bustling market with different snacks and trinkets.

The Bund: Where the great trading houses and banks had their headquarters in 1920s and 1930s, about a mile long, it is the city's fulcrum.

Shanghai World Financial Center: It is one of the top high skyscraper in the world. It has 101 floors and 1614 feet above the ground. You can get the cool feeling of having a bird's eye view of Shanghai by standing on 100th floor's glass overbridge.

Former French Section: The former French Concession in old days now is a great walking area full of history, with its cobble streets, beautiful French style villas, variety of cafes, restaurants and antique stores.
